ODC Dance School

Estimating and pre-construction services for the adaptive reuse of a 14,500 sf existing commercial building into a dance studio for the Oberlin Dance Collective (ODC). The project will connect the building to the adjacent ODC Theater and add a third story, mezzanine, and roof deck.  The project features several distinct architectural features including a translucent polycarbonate panel façade, exposed structural elements (beams, columns, and joists), Harlequin “Woodspring” and hardwood dance floors, production studio, stacking glass doors, and clerestory windows at the roof gables.  The scope also includes selective demolition and a new foundation with improvements to the lobby, electrical room, and second floor passage in the adjacent ODC structure.
