With two decades of experience spanning construction, technology, and commercial litigation, Desiree brings extensive expertise in legal counsel, risk management, insurance, claims, compliance, and contractual risk transfer. Most recently, she served as the sole in-house Risk Manager and Attorney for a Bay Area general contractor, advising leadership across a portfolio of multimillion-dollar affordable housing and commercial projects for nonprofit developers and public entity clients.
Throughout her career, Desiree has managed complex insurance programs and claims, negotiated prime contracts and subcontracts, developed companywide compliance procedures, and provided practical legal and risk guidance to executive, accounting, project management, and marketing teams. Prior to focusing on the construction industry, she served as corporate counsel in the technology sector and as a commercial litigation associate.
