Singular Builders is proud to have contributed to the exterior restoration of San Francisco’s hidden gem, the McElroy Octagon House. Built in 1861 and lovingly preserved by The National Society of The Colonial Dames of America, this unique eight-sided home offers a glimpse into 19th-century architecture.
Our work included an accessible concrete ramp, custom iron railings, pathway lighting, a new entrance, and matching landscaping — all crafted to honor the original design. Now more accessible, this historic site is open twice a month to the public.
